We had a great time at the 2009 Advanced Armament Silencer Shoot! The overcast day added to the fun and helped keep the temperatures down. I spent some time shooting an AR-10 with a lightweight .308 barrel I had turned for a customer. He had an AAC 762-SD silencer – very smooth and accurate! Of course, I had to spend some time at the Knight’s Armament tent. I was hoping to shoot the PDW and judge for myself if it’s worth all the hype. They had a couple on display but none for shooting so I decided to shoot the SR-M110. What an impressive gun – quiet, accurate, and hardly any recoil. We’re looking forward to next year for sure. Hopefully we’ll see more Ballistic Advantage barrels out there too!

Our new 6.8 SPC II barrels with M4 feedramps utilize a Douglas Premium 1/11 twist, six groove blank in Chrome Moly or Stainless Steel. According to Douglas Barrels, they used the same blank to provide 6.8 barrels to the US Navy. We have succesfuly tested Silver State Armory combat loads with no pressure signs. We turn each barrel to order so we can provide the custom barrel for your build.
